The true ending of Hollow Knight Silksong concludes with the Lost Lace boss fight inside the Abyss. Being swallowed by the void, Grand Mother Silk uses all of her powers to keep Lace safe, at a small price. Lace has been controlled by the Abyss, and Hornet dives inside to rescue her. The Boss Fight is fast, and Lace gives you a very small room to attack. Here’s how you can beat Lost Lace.

You can find the Lost Lace in the Abyss, accessible through the Deep Docks in Act 3. The arena is located at the end of the Abyss, where Lace’s spirit also waits. But, before going to the Abyss, you will need the Everbloom Flower to dive deep where Grand Mother Silk is captured. This boss fight is necessary to obtain the last, or true, ending of the game.

Lost Lace’s boss fight is one of the most difficult fights, as it leaves little room for Hornet to attack properly. Her usual move sets are enhanced with the Abyss, and she will teleport across the arena more than you’d like. Here are all the moves she can hit you with:

Phase 1

  • Pin Slashes: Lace’s signature slashes are now enhanced with the Abyss, leaving a trail of Abyssal matter that will do damage. She slashes three times, each slash gaining a bit of distance forward. Deals two damage.
  • Pin Parry: If Hornet attacks Lace while she defends, she will counterattack. Deals two damage.
  • Abyss Dash: If Hornet stays too far, Lace immediately dashes forward and attacks. This has no max range, and Lace will reach the last position of Hornet. Deals two damage.
  • Abyss Tentacle: Lace throws an Abyssal tentacle, going till medium range. Deals two damage.
  • Jump Attack: Lace jumps in the air and slides after landing on the ground. Deals one damage.
  • Abyssal Jump Attack: Lace jumps in the air and attacks using her Abyssal Tentacles. Deals two damage.
  • Abyss Projectiles: Lace throws Abyssal projectiles (3) and tentacles around the arena. The Abyss Projectiles deal one damage, while the tentacles deal two.

Phase 2

This Phase unleashes more of Lace’s Abyssal attacks, and she becomes faster. A few new moves are mentioned below:

  • Abyss Wave: Lace throws the entire Abyssal Sea around the arena in one direction. Deals three damage, and Lace is not visible during the attack.
  • Abyss Blobs: Lace throws balls of Abyss that turn into blades once they land. Deals two damage.
  • Lace Slash: Circles appear in the arena, indicating where Lace will attack. Deals two damage.

Lost Lace Boss Tips and Tricks

The final boss fight of Act 3 is a test of movement and boss pattern recognition. Lace keeps on teleporting around the arena, making it hard to attack her. Equipping the Cogwork Fly tool is a good way of keeping the damage up. The perfect time to attack is between her teleports and dash end. She also stands still while she throws Abyss projectiles, making her vulnerable.

The second phase mostly involves dodging, as a lot of projectiles start being thrown around. You have to really be careful while in the air, so staying on the ground is mostly recommended. Fighting Lost Lace a couple of times to learn her move sets also helps, as she throws a lot of moves in sequence.
