Where To Find Voltvyrm in Hollow Knight Silksong?
You will need to arrive at the Sands of Karak first. From here, you need to head to the marked location in the above map. Here, you can use the Faydown Cloak to squeeze into a hidden pathway (thought it is easier with Silk Soar). This starts a decently long leg of parkour, which involves dodging a lot of environmental zaps (fitting) before you reach the boss room.
Follow this path until the end and float down using the Drifter’s Cloak, and turn left. You will have reached the boss room. Unfortunately, you will have to perform this challenge again and again until you defeat this boss.

The challenges you faced were to prepare you for this boss fight. So, you should be prepared for similar attacks. Moreover, Voltvyrm is quite simple due to two reasons. Its low variety in moves, and high exploitation to certain Tools.
- Electric Columns: Columns of light appear on the screen, after which electricity fills these columns. Try not to get trapped between two or three such columns.
- Electric Circles: Multiple circles light up on the screen, after which they spark briefly. Jump out of their way, and using abilities like Bind or Drifter’s Cloak to stay in place for a second.
This boss has no second phases, and is positioned at the ceiling. This makes contact damage almost completely avoidable. You only need to focus on jumping while doing damage.
How To Beat Voltvyrm in Hollow Knight Silksong: Tips and Tricks
Here are some tips to manage this boss:
- The Cogfly is a great ‘cheese’ Tool to beat this boss, as the boss mostly stays within range of the Cogfly due to the small room.
- You can add Pollip Pouch to this to make this Tool even deadlier.
- The boss stays on the roof, so you just have to be patient and wait for your opening. Don’t get hit while trying to get one hit in, as this boss gives you plenty of opportunities to attack.
