The Beast Crest is one of the most aggressive ones in Hollow Knight Silksong, and it transforms Hornet’s needle attacks into vicious claw attacks. To top this off, you can even gain lifesteal abilities with this Crest. If you are a player who likes to get up close and personal to the enemy before striking them down with extreme prejudice, the Beast Crest is just the right choice for you.
Getting the Beast Crest is not the easiest task, although it is not as complex as the Witch Crest either. You will have to parkour a significant part, unfortunately through Hunter’s March. That said, this article will explain how you can easily get the Beast Crest in Hollow Knight Silksong.
Where To Find The Beast Crest in Hollow Knight Silksong?
There is no easy way to get the Beast Crest, and the only way to get it is by beating the Savage Beastfly boss. As the reigning apex boss of the Hunter’s March, reaching this boss itself is a troublesome endeavor. Head to the exact location as marked on the map above, and you will reach the Chapel of the Beast.
On your path, you will encounter countless skarr enemies, which are the red bugs. These are some of the most aggressive mobs, and can easily deal double mask damage to you. After you cross this hurdle, there are multiple sequence of complicated pogos. If you are not very confident on your parkour skills, using the Reaper Crest might help you here.
You must have also unlocked the Drifters Cloak ability to reach this part, since there are multiple air currents that you will have to ride to reach it. Once you have finally reached and defeated the Savage Beastfly, head left from the arena and you will be able to claim the Beast Crest by binding.
What Does The Beast Crest Do in Hollow Knight Silksong?
If you have the Beast Crest equipped in Silksong, Hornet will do melee attacks with her claws instead of her needles. Her downward jumping attack also becomes a cartwheel with claws, and deals a lot of damage to enemies. The Beast Crest has two active tool slots by default – both are red, set for offensive tools.
The most salient feature of the Beast Crest is that Hornet enters a frenzy after binding for a short duration. During this time, Hornet’s gains additional attack speed and the range of her claws also increases. Furthermore, Hornet can steal the life of any enemy that she hits in this frenzied state. As such, despite being a hyper-aggressive option, the Beast Crest also takes healing and sustainability into account.
