The Craw Summons in Hollow Knight Silksong is a secret item that you can unlock by completing very specific requirements. Even so, the item unlock seems to be completely random, because many players never acquire it even after completing the prerequisites.
Grabbing this particular item is mandatory if you want to unlock a secret boss battle and reach 100% completion in the game. So, in the following guide, we’ll help you understand how you can unlock the Craw Summons item, and how you can use it.
How To Get Craw Summons in Hollow Knight Silksong
To unlock this item, you will have to first unlock a set of journal entries related to craw enemies in the game. The entries you’ll have to unlock are as follows:
- Craw
- Squatcraw
- Tallcraw
- Craw Juror
Getting the last journal entry is going to be the toughest, because that involves getting to Act 3 of the game. It’s a secret act that you can only reach by going through a wide range of challenging enemies. To reach Act 3, you also have to defeat the Grand Mother Silk.
Once you have unlocked that act, simply rest at the Bellhart bench. The secret item should spawn on its own when you rest at this spot. However, in some cases, the item might not appear. In these scenarios, simply leave the area and reload your save. This will restart your game from the Bellhart bench once again, and the Craw Summons item should spawn now.
Some players have reported that they didn’t need to unlock the Craw Juror journal entry. Simply getting the other entries and resting at the Bellhart bench worked for them. So, give it a shot with the first three entries unlocked once. If the item doesn’t unlock, you’ll need to acquire the Craw Juror entry in your game and then retry.
How To Use Craw Summons in Hollow Knight Silksong
Once you have Craw Summons, simply head to the rest bench at Craw Lake in Greymoor. From this location, take a right and enter the Craw Lake section of the map. Go inside the hut in this region and drop down. On your right is a door that’s locked shut. You might have seen the door before, but couldn’t open it. That’s because the Craw Summons item acts as a key for this door. So, with the item, you can finally get through.
Inside, you will reach the Court of Craws area of the game. Here, you will have to face off against a secret boss, Crawfather. Fighting and defeating this boss will allow you to claim the Craw Memento item from him.
