The Curveclaw is a red tool in Hollow Knight Silksong found in the Hunter’s March. Here’s how you can get it.

The Red Tool Curveclaw in Hollow Knight Silksong is excellent for mid-range combat and shooting down flying enemies. This tool can be found in a secret room at Hunter’s March in two different ways. It can either be bought from Mottled Skarr or picked up right above the merchant’s room.
The Curveclaw is a boomerang that will return towards Hornet’s direction after reaching max range. Here’s how you can get the Curveclaw in Hunter’s March.
Getting the Curveclaw in Hunter’s March

The Curveclaw in Hollow Knight Silksong can be bought from the Mottled Skarr merchant in a hidden room inside Hunter’s March. However, Mottled Skarr dies after you reach Act 2 of the game. If this happens, you can obtain the Curveclaw tool from the room directly above the merchant’s. The Curveclaw costs 140 rosaries if you purchase it from the merchant. Mottled Skarr also has one of the best blue tools in the game, the Fractured Mask, for 260 rosaries. However, if you wait till Act 2, you can get it from his corpse for free.
The secret room is right above the trap bench of the Hunter’s March. The room contains a few geodes of shards and a secret way to the left of the wall. You have to simply hug and jump to access it. However, in Act 2, after unknown enemies attack Mottled Skarr, the room directly above gives you a hint of who took him down. The room has a few ant enemies protecting a storage room, where the Curveclaw lies.
The Curveclaw can also be upgraded to the Curvesickle tool. You can acquire its upgrade through a secret quest in the Far Fields at the start of Act 3. The upgrade provides more damage and a wider range. You should definitely obtain the Curvesickle if you have used the Curveclaw in your battles.
Is Curveclaw a Good Tool?
The Curveclaw can be used mostly for attacking multiple enemies at once. This can be useful during exploration, gauntlets, and boss fights. Some boss fights in Hollow Knight Silksong consist of multiple mob waves or two bosses at once. The Curveclaw can hit multiple enemies front and back, giving it an advantage over other tools that only shoot in one direction. Plus, you can also use it with the Polyp Pouch to inflict poison damage.
Later, as the game becomes difficult, you can use its upgrade, the Curvesickle. It is the only tool in the game that can get a free upgrade without spending rosaries. Even acquiring the tool can be free if you can wait till Act 2.
