Magma Bell is a Tool that helps you take less damage from fire and magma in Hollow Knight Silksong. Here’s how to obtain it.

The Magma Bell is a Tool in Hollow Knight Silksong that helps you navigate through lava and magma more easily. Right before you enter the Deep Docks area, the magma lakes become a common theme. Falling into magma deals two points of damage to you, unlike most other environmental hazards that deal only one point of damage.
With many regular enemies dealing two damage, taking extra damage from magma is a quick way to pass out. To help you out, here’s how you can get the Magma Bell and use it in Hollow Knight Silksong.
Getting the Magma Bell in Hollow Knight Silksong

The Magma Bell is a Tool that you can buy from the Forge Daughter in Deep Docks. However, crafting it takes 110 Rosaries and one Craftsmetal, an item found in Moss Grotto. Here’s how you can reach this vendor if you start from the entrance of Deep Docks in The Marrow:
- Start from the steel platforms and cross the lake. You can defeat the grounded enemies if you need Rosaries to make the purchase.
- Enter the vertical room and climb up to flick a switch on the left wall.
- Drop down and enter the lowermost room on the right wall.
- On your way, hit a small lever on the ground to open up the passage and jump down.
- Keep heading to the right to find the Forge Daughter at the end of the hallway. You can also choose to unlock the Bench if you have extra Rosaries.
Exhaust all of the vendor’s dialogues to purchase the Magma Bell from her. You can use the Bench to the left to equip it on your Crest.

How To Use the Magma Bell in Hollow Knight Silksong

As mentioned before, you can use a Bench to equip the Magma Tool. However, you can only equip one Blue Tool on your Crest unless you use a Memory Locket to unlock additional slots for your Tools on different Crests.
After you equip the Magma Bell, any damage taken from magma is halved, which is really helpful for this region in Act 1. It is recommended to use this item to fight the Fourth Chorus boss, as you can fall into magma to avoid taking double damage from its physical attacks.
