If you want to equip more Tools on a crest in Hollow Knight: Silksong, you need to know how to get and use a Memory Locket.
Having a limited number of Tools in Hollow Knight: Silksong may feel restrictive. So, you can use a Memory Locket to upgrade the number of Tools you can equip on a Crest.
However, a Memory Locket is quite rare and not very easy to use. This guide will cover everything regarding the same.

How To Get Memory Locket in Hollow Knight Silksong
Since a Memory Locket is quite rare, do not expect to find one in the starting areas of the game. Instead, you might have to reach the Far Fields to acquire the first Memory Locket.
The first one you will find is likely with the merchant NPC named Mort. However, you need to spend 30 Rosaries to even enter this rest stop. Moreover, you will need to spend 150 more if you want to add it to your inventory.
Apart from this, there are a few more locations such as:
- Area before the Chapel of the Beast in the Hunter’s March. Loot it off a corpse.
- Right of the Moorwing boss room.
- Bellhart Shop. Can be purchased for 330 Rosaries. (Note: You must beat the Widow boss.)
(Note: Defeating the Widow boss will also unlock Needle Upgrades.)
How To Use Memory Locket in Hollow Knight Silksong
You can use a Memory Locket by simply opening your Crest menu. Here, you will see multiple locked slots on your Crest, as seen in the image above. If you have acquired a Memory Locket you will see the option to use the Locket to unlock a slot.
However, you need to be careful before spending a Memory Locket. This is because every Crest has their own locked slots, independent from the rest. Therefore, it is advised that you acquire a few Crests before making a final decision on vertical investment. Once you spend a Memory Locket, you can’t get it back.
