How To Get Volt Filament in Hollow Knight Silksong
This Volt Filament is located behind an optional boss fight in the Sands of Karak. This boss is the Voltvyrm. Head to the location marked on the map above, and jump up through the roof to reveal a hidden passage.
(Note: You will need the Faydown Cloak, Drifter’s Cloak, and Clawline to make it to the boss.)
- Here, keep following the path while dodging electric shocks and fields all across the area.
- Eventually, you will come to an intersection where you can choose to go left or right. Left is the correct answer.
- You will eventually reach the boss room of the Voltvyrm. It is advised that you not bring many Rosaries with you (or convert them into Rosary Strings). This is because you might fail the run back to the boss in case you get defeated once.
- Once you defeat the Voltvyrm, the Volt Filament will fall from the corpse, and you can take it.

- Firstly, the boss uses attacks similar to the environmental effects you encountered on the way to the chamber. The screen glows in areas before it is filled with electricity.
- There are two main ways this electricity manifests:

- The second is in multiple circles on the screen.
What Does the Volt Filament Do in Hollow Knight Silksong?
The Volt Filament is a Blue Tool. The effect reads:
- Can be coiled around thread, imbuing Silk Skills with electric charge.
The effect is exactly as it reads. If you use a Silk Skill while this Tool is equipped, the skill will have an electric charge attached to it.
