Hollow Knight Silksong: How To Save Game

Saving progress in Hollow Knight Silksong requires you to interact with benches or use the pause menu. There are a few things you need to keep in mind when saving the game.

Given the nature of the game and how difficult progressing in it can be (many are claiming a difference coming from the KBM/controller choice), you are advised to save whenever you get the opportunity. Keep in mind that quitting through Alt + F4 will not save in Hollow Knight Silksong.

How To Save Game in Hollow Knight Silksong

There are two ways to save in Hollow Knight Silksong: Benches and the Pause Menu.

Benches

You will find benches scattered around the in-game world during exploration. Once you find one, interact with it to rest. This will become your respawn point until you do the same at the next bench, and it will also restore your health. Resting at a bench saves the game and your progress.

Pause Menu

You can also use the Pause Menu to save the game in Hollow Knight Silksong. Choose the Quit To Menu option, and it will ask whether you want to Save and Quit. Select Yes to confirm. When you resume your session, you will be respawned at the last bench you had interacted with.
