Hollow Knight Silksong: Roach Guts Wish Walkthrough

Hollow Knight Silksong offers many quests around Pharloom, and Roach Guts is one of them. It is a quest given by a pair of bugs known as Crull and Benjin. They ask you to bring the innards of the wild Muckroachs roaming around the area. Moreover, to them, it is a delicacy like no other food in Pharloom.

How To Start Roach Guts Wish in Hollow Knight Silksong

To start the Roach Guts quest, you have to visit Crull and Benjin in Sinner’s Road. It is located above Greymoor and requires you to explore the area to find the entrance. After you enter Sinner’s Road, run past the starting room and enter the central area of the region. Once in, jump up and enter the middle entrance on the right wall. This brings you to a room full of cages and rotating spikes. 

You have to now parkour around the place using pogo jumps to reach the top-right corner of the room. Enter the small hut and speak with the duo to initiate the Roach Guts wish.

How To Complete the Roach Guts Wish in Hollow Knight Silksong

To complete the Roach Guts in Silksong, you must collect 10 Muckroach innards by defeating them. These are the vicious dog-like enemies roaming in the lower regions of Sinner’s Road. Moreover, in the lower area, there are two long hallway-shaped rooms where you can find a bunch of these enemies. Here are some tips on how to defeat them: 

• Pick one at a time. Their moveset consists of one lunge attack that deals two damage if you are caught. Fighting multiple Muckroaches is an easy way to get sent back to the last bench you sat on.
• Use your traps to deal damage from far away. Both rooms in the lower regions have platforms like hanging cages you can stand on, so these enemies won’t reach you. 
• Do not stand on the ground, even on a raised area. The Muckroaches can climb walls, allowing them to reach nearly any place touching the ground. 
• Collect the innards only after you clear the area. The items do not despawn as long as you remain in the room. Additionally, try not to collect items mid-fight, as Hornet does not get any invulnerability frames during her pick-up animation. 

After you collect all ten innards, go back to the hut and talk to Crull and Benjin to receive your reward. 

Roach Gut Wish Reward in Silksong 

Completing the wish earns you the Tack tool. It is a red tool that allows you to throw multiple tacks onto the ground. Any enemy walking through the tacks takes damage for each tack stepped on. You can combine it with another tool, such as Pollip Pouch, from the Rite of the Pollip wish. Doing so applies a poison effect to Tacks that causes damage to enemies over time.
