Red Tools can drastically boost your offensive capability in Hollow Knight Silksong. As such, it is a good idea to acquire these early in your run. One such Red Tool is the Flintslate. This Tool works in a very unique manner, in the sense that it does not summon anything extra, or get tossed out as a projectile. Read on to know more about this elusive Tool.
Where To Find Flintslate in Hollow Knight Silksong

This Tool is located behind a locked door. You will need to find a Simple Key to open this. Fortunately, there are a total of four keys to be found throughout Pharloom. There are plenty of options available to you, with the easiest likely being purchasing one at Bone Bottom.
However, if you have used up this key, you can find the rest of the Simple Key locations here. This door is located in the Deep Docks, in the area beneath the Forge Daughter. Use the key to unlock the door and proceed inside.
- Once there, you need to head to the right side of the screen. While doing this, you will see two vertical drops.
- Cross both and keep going right.
- At the third drop, jump up and towards the left side. You will see a small pocket where you can head inside and obtain the Flintslate.
Now that you have this Tool, run back to your nearest Bench, and equip the new Flintslate to have fun.
What Does Flintslate Do in Hollow Knight Silksong?

This item doesn’t produce any extra summons to assist you in combat. Neither does it toss out a projectile. Instead, it empowers your Needle with heat and increases its damage. This effect is particularly useful against bosses, as it remains active for a decent amount of time. However, you only get three charges out of it before you have to rest and reset its charges.
