Activision has finally unveiled gameplay footage along with several other details about the Black Ops 7 Co-Op Campaign. For those returning to the series, the upcoming Call of Duty Campaign will allow players to team up and take on story missions. Sure, this isn’t the first time a Call of Duty game has done this, and it probably won’t be the last. Nevertheless, Treyarch has incorporated many new, unique experiences into the mix that are certainly worth checking out.
So, without any further ado, let’s take a look at the upcoming Black Ops 7 Campaign, how it works, and what you can expect from it when it releases later this year.
Black Ops 7 Co-Op Campaign explained
Let’s begin by understanding how the Black Ops 7 Co-Op Campaign will work. This time around, the Campaign will allow up to four players to team up. They will assume the roles of David Mason, Mike Harper, Eric Samuels, and 50/50. That said, this isn’t strictly a Co-Op experience. For fans who want a single-player experience, they can play through the story mode solo as well.
The main highlight of this Co-Op Campaign is the “Endgame”. It is essentially the final mission, and based on how Call of Duty has described it, the mission will feature rogue-like elements. Yes, you heard that right. According to Treyarch, it will be a replayable experience. The mission will be challenging and put players’ skills to the test. This will be a PvE experience on Avalon with a total of 32 players joining in on the action.
Once the players reach the Endgame, they will unlock the ability to customize their Operators, unlock new skills and abilities, and acquire new Power-Ups. This ensures that every run of the final mission is different from the last. Needless to say, they can also customize their Loadouts and equip weapons that they prefer using.
But that’s not all. For the first time ever, Global Progression will be integrated with the Black Ops 7 Campaign. What does it mean? Simply put, players can earn XP and level up their weapons and gear in the Campaign. And yes, it will be synced with Warzone as well!

A Co-Op experience intertwined with a mind-bending story is a combination we have yet to see from COD. After delivering a robust narrative experience with Black Ops 6 last year, expectations this time around are quite high!
