Elden Ring Nightreign is a very different experience from what FromSoftware is usually known for. While the studio did dabble in different genres apart from their usual souls-like offerings, Nightreign is the first time that the studio has tried their hand at a multiplayer-focused rogue-like. Unlike a traditional RPG, Nightreign employs a progression system that’s more akin to rogue-likes, while retaining the gameplay of the original Elden Ring. The game’s storytelling also takes a backseat to facilitate the more frantic pacing of the combat system. However, that doesn’t mean that there’s no story and a proper ending to the game, far from it.

Nightreign, despite being divorced from the original Elden Ring’s storyline, still features a narrative with a conclusive finale. However, unlike the original Elden Ring, the latest title can be completed rather quickly. Here’s everything you need to know about how long it takes to complete Elden Ring Nightreign, the duration of Expeditions, and more.

Elden Ring Nightreign Completion Times Explored

For a regular playthrough of Elden Ring Nightreign, reaching and defeating the final boss should take you roughly 25-30 hours. However, that completion time is based on a number of factors such as playing in multiplayer, player skill, RNG, etc. Unlike previous FromSoftware games, Nightreign doesn’t have a traditional leveling system. Instead, you start every new run from Level 1 and try to hit Level 10 (or more) by the end of it. During these runs, the weapons you get are completely randomized, which highly impacts how fast you can complete the Expeditions. However, with a proper team, you can get to the end of the game in about 30 hours, ideally.

Now, for a completionist run, it should take you roughly 60-70 hours. However, that’s also taking into account the same factors as the regular playthrough. Furthermore, if you plan to fully master all eight Nightfarers, it will take a few more hours, both to get a proper grasp of the character abilities as well as a good Relic loadout.

A successful Expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign usually takes roughly 35-40 hours. The Expeditions are broken into three days, with the first day being the longest. Day 1 usually lasts about 15 minutes before forcing you to head for Night’s boss. Day 2, on the other hand, lasts roughly 10 minutes, which isn’t much, but this is also the time when you get the most amount of Runes out of killing world and dungeon bosses. Additionally, there are also certain Expeditions that have Shifting World mechanics, which can increase the time it takes to complete a day.

It should be noted that the duration of Expeditions remains unchanged across both multiplayer and single-player modes.
