Controversial streamer Ice Poseidon, also known as Paul Denino, has been given the credit of popularizing streaming on both YouTube and Twitch. Initially, he used to stream Runescape and was often ranked as one of the most watched streamers on Twitch in his time. The now 30-year-old, used to upload vlogs of himself going on dates, doing pranks, taking self-defense classes, gambling, and much more.

Ice Poseidon called his fans the “purple army” and was often seen reacting to the videos they sent him. However, the now 30-year-old saw a major downfall after he was exposed by Coffeezilla. He was scamming people of their cryptocurrency and stealing at least $5,000,000 worth of his investors’ funds. Additionally, he was gloating about it and refusing to return the money sans a small amount.

Paul advertised a cryptocurrency coin named “Cx Coin” that he developed. As soon as his investors gave him the funds, he embezzled the money for himself. When he was confronted by Coffeezilla, who was suspicious about the scam, Ice gave him his wallet information. However, when Coffeezilla joined Paul’s Telegram channel, he realized that the wallet information given to him was different than Paul’s original ones.

Moreover, when Coffeezilla confronted Ice Poseidon once again and asked him to give the money back, he said,

“I could give the money back, it’s in my power to do that. But I’m going to look out for myself and not do that.”

Finally, in January 2022, Coffeezilla uploaded a video exposing Ice Poseidon of the scam.

Ice Poseidon’s Response to Coffeezilla

After the video came out, Ice Poseidon uploaded a tweet in response stating that he did not advertise his crypto to his regular audience. The tweet said, “My one and only response on the subject,” along with a link attached to it. The note stated that he only advertised it to “people in the cryptosphere and fans who KNEW about crypto and understood what they were getting into.”

“First of all, I did not advertise cxcoin to my casual fans who don’t know anything about crypto and would be extremely vulnerable to a highly volatile market. I only advertised it to people in the cryptosphere, and fans who KNEW about crypto and understood what they were getting into. The most “advertising” i did to casual fans was when I put the donation terminal of cxcoin in my livestream’s description (viewers could donate crypto and cxcoin to me, instead of using paypal or cash).”

He continued saying that in Coffeezilla’s video, his main product was not mentioned. “Eztip4.me” was the main product that he claimed to work on for months. He said,

“On the whole video, there was not one single mention of the main product which has been fully functional for months, Eztip4.me – I had even used this on some of the streams, all of this was built from scratch.”

In a podcast with Brandon Buckingham, Ice mentioned that he needed the money. However, he admitted to his mistakes, saying that he did scam people. Though, he said that they should have known how crypto works before investing.
