Duke Dennis, currently 30 years old, is a well-known Twitch streamer and AMP member, who stands 6 feet and 2 inches tall.
Twitch star Duke Dennis is a popular content creator, best known for his Just Chatting, IRL, and gaming content. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, United States, Dennis’ popularity skyrocketed in July 2021, when he started averaging over 15.1k viewers per stream.
According to online sources, Duke Dennis stands 6 feet and 2 inches or 188 centimeters tall. Furthermore, during a livestream a few years ago, while the 30-year-old was reacting to a basketball video, he confirmed his height, stating:
“I ain’t going to lie, I don’t want to drop the ball. The dude is seven (feet) and five (inches). I’m six (feet) and two (inches), bruh!”
Was Duke Dennis in the Army?
Before becoming a prominent internet personality, Duke Dennis served in the United States military for four years. According to some sources, the content creator was stationed in Germany after he completed his basic military training.
Back in 2022, Dennis received a donation from a viewer during a livestream, who inquired what made him serve in the army. They wrote:
“Duke, when and what made you go to the military, and would you recommend anyone else to go also? Because IDK (I don’t know) what to do. I’m about to graduate. Keep doing what you’re doing.”
According to the AMP (Any Means Possible) member, he “would have been stuck in the hood,” if he hadn’t enlisted in the military. Furthermore, the streamer did not recommend that his followers join the army.
He elaborated:
“I appreciate that Prime, bro. The only reason I went to the army, bro, was because if I didn’t go to the army, then I would have been stuck in the hood. So, that’s why I did it. Me, personally, I don’t recommend n****s going to the army. If you want to go there, you can go, if you feel like that’s best for you. But the army is not for everybody. So, you know what I’m saying? It is what is it, bruh. Yeah, that’s what happened, bro.”
How Did Duke Dennis Become Famous?
Duke Dennis started his Twitch channel in March 2016, and in eight years, he has amassed 2,466,816 followers. It wasn’t until November 2020 that his channel grew to tens of thousands of followers, thanks to his NBA 2K and Call of Duty livestreams.
Furthermore, Duke Dennis frequently collaborates with other AMP members such as Kai Cenat, Fanum, and Chrisnxtdoor, which has contributed significantly to his popularity.
During an interview with Complex, Dennis explained the process of gaining mainstream popularity by saying:
“Whatever is going on, whatever is hot, I would focus on that at first. And then, I would put my YouTube videos on TikTok with the correct hashtags and the correct sounds. And, once people start knowing my face well enough, I would start streaming, and reacting to Kai, Adin (Ross), (IShow)Speed, and throwing those reactions on TikTok. And then, I would start making myself appear on theirs. And eventually, people will start mentioning me, of course, with them.”
When Duke Dennis Commented On Kai Cenat’s Sporting Skills
In April 2024, Duke Dennis made headlines after he commented on fellow AMP member Kai Cenat’s athletic abilities.
While claiming that the “only thing” the New Yorker was good at was “yelling,” Dennis seemed to make fun of Kai Cenat’s sporting skills by saying:
“He doesn’t know how to play a nick of sports. He’s not even fast. If you’re little as f**k, you’ve got to be fast as s**t. This n***a is not even fast. What can the n***a do? The n***a is weak! The n***a can’t jump. The n***a can’t shoot. The n***a can’t throw! He can’t play soccer. The n***a can’t play golf.”
