Pokimane, or Imane Anys, is a Moroccan-Canadian female streamer. She joined the streaming platform Twitch in 2013 and has garnered an immense following since. She has earned the respect of her peers and fans for being a skilled gamer and talented entertainer. Back in 2014, Pokimane confirmed that her height was 5 feet 4 inches.
Imane often collaborates with other creators and plays a wide variety of games. She boasts more than 9 million followers on the streaming platform Twitch. The 28-year-old has 6.62 million subscribers on YouTube, has been a part of films, and has also contributed to the fashion industry. She had a cameo appearance in the 2021 film Free Guy. For Pokimane, Twitch is her home platform.

Born on May 14, 1996, Imane Anys was born in Morocco but later moved to Canada. Currently, she lives in Los Angeles. Pokimane’s personal brand keeps growing rapidly. According to a 2021 Twitch leak, it was alleged that Pokimane earned around $1.5 million between August 2019 and October 2021. She was one of the highest-paid Twitch streamers on the list. It is estimated that she has a net worth of between one and three million dollars.
Pokimane was initially pursuing Chemical Engineering but soon dropped out to pursue streaming as a full-time career. She brought in a new style of streaming, which involved cosplays and sharing her life stories during livestreams. Imane has four other YouTube channels named ‘Sweet n Sour Podcast,’ ‘imane,’ ‘Pokimane Too,’ and ‘Pokimane VODS.’
Her fans often keep her protected from online controversies. Her massive following and rapid growth earned her the title of “Best Twitch Streamer of the Year” at the Shorty Awards in 2018. In 2022, she won the “Legacy Award” at The Streamer Awards.
Recently, in September 2024, Pokimane accidentally posted her Steam code on her livestream. The incident happened when she was playing the game Lockdown Protocol with Valkyrae, Sykkuno, and a few other creators. While adding content creator “Ellum” as a friend on Steam, she accidentally revealed her Steam profile code.
She then moved the window away from her primary screen. She humorously warned her fans and said,
“Everyone in my chat – look away. I’ve posted my Steam code. If anyone clips that and adds me, I’m blocking you, I’m finding out where you live, and I’m leaving poop at your doorstep. So, don’t do it! Thank you.”
