Path of Exile 2’s latest update brings in a ton of new content, and if you’re a Lich, the Abyssal Lich is likely what you’ve been looking forward to the most. The Abyssal Lich is a secret new Ascendancy that you unlock after beating a boss in the Rise of the Abyssal League in Path of Exile 2.

How To Unlock Abyssal Lich in Path of Exile 2

You can unlock the Abyssal Lich Ascendancy by following the steps below:
- Play through the campaign till you unlock the Well of Souls.
- To head inside the well, you’ll need “Kulemak’s Invitation.” Complete the Abyssal Events and defeat Abyssal bosses till you get the “Kulemak’s Invitation” item.
- The invitation will then grant you access to the Well of Souls. Jump inside the well.
- The well will lead you to the Black Cathedral and to the Vessel of Kulemak.
- Defeat the boss, and you’ll then be given the choice to “Steal a Lich’s Power” or “Take the Finger.”
- Select the “Steal a Lich’s Power” option.
- Then, three statues will appear in the arena. These statues will revive the boss and apply a modifier. Pick a statue. You’ll have to defeat the boss three times for each statue, totalling up to four encounters.
- On the fourth encounter, you’ll have the option to “Return the Finger.” Do so and beat the boss to ascend to Abyssal Lich.

Steward of Kulemak | Grants Skill: Abyssal Apparition Damaging Spells consume a Power Charge if able to trigger Abyssal Apparition. |
Soulless Form | 10% of Damage taken bypasses Energy Shield. No inherent Mana Regeneration. Regenerate Mana equal to 6% of maximum Life per second. |
