You have several options when it comes to binding skills in Path of Exile 2, depending on your control scheme. Given below is a detailed guide for each method:

Controller

1. Highlight the Skill Gem: Navigate to your inventory and highlight the skill gem you wish to bind.
2. Press X/Circle: Press the X button on Xbox or the Circle button on PlayStation to put the skill gem into one of your skill slots.
3. Bring Up the Binding Screen: Press X/Circle again to open the binding screen.
4. Select the Button: Press the button you want to bind the skill to and confirm your selection.

Keyboard/Mouse/WASD

1. Right-Click the Skill Gem: Open the skills menu by right-clicking the skill gem.
2. Drag the Skill Gem: Left-click and drag the skill gem to your desired slot on the action hotbar.
3. Direct Assignment: Alternatively, click on an empty skill slot with the Left Mouse Button to open a series of buttons displaying all possible skills and abilities. Select the desired one to bind it.
4. Rebinding: To rebind, left-click a skill in the action hotbar and choose a different ability from the options.

In total, players have access to 12 primary keybinds on a controller, including Face Buttons, Top Buttons, and D-Pad.
