How To Build All Ships in Valheim
How To Build a Raft

- 6 Resin
To build a Raft, you must place a workbench near the shore, equip your hammer, and select the Raft from the build menu. Once you have this built, you can start sailing by holding the rudder and using the W and S keys to control the speed, and A and D to steer.
How To Build a Karve
The Karve is a step up from the Raft. It offers better speed, durability, and storage. Here are the materials needed to craft a Karve:
- 30 Fine Wood
- 10 Deer Hide
- 20 Resin
- 80 Bronze Nails
To craft a Karve, you must follow the same steps as building a Raft. However, you need to select the Karve from the build menu. The Karve is more maneuverable and can carry more cargo. This makes it ideal for longer voyages.
How To Build a Longship
The Longship is the most advanced and powerful ship in Valheim, perfect for large-scale exploration and transporting significant resources. Here are the materials you will need for a Longship:
- 100 Iron Nails
- 10 Deer Hide
- 40 Fine Wood
- 40 Ancient Bark
Building a Longship follows the same process as the previous ships, but it requires more resources. The Longship offers the best speed, durability, and storage capacity.
