Moreover, building the Aqueducts can be a little complicated, as there are a few requirements you have to meet before being able to make one.

How To Unlock Aqueducts in Anno 117 Pax Romana
You can unlock the Aqueducts in Anno 117 Pax Romana by fulfilling the Plebeian needs with different items like Bread, Garum, and Soap. This allows you to upgrade the Plebeian Residence to an Esque Residence, which then unlocks the Aqueduct. Keep in mind that building Aqueducts requires a lot of resources. Therefore, you should gather most of the necessary materials so you can start construction immediately after unlocking the structure.

How To Build Aqueducts in Anno 117 Pax Romana
The Aqueducts in Anno 117 Pax Romana have three major components that you have to build to create a fully functional structure. These components are:
- Aqueduct Source
- Aqueduct
- Aqueduct Cistern
Additionally, each of these structures requires varying amounts of Wood, Tiles, Concrete, and Coins. It is recommended that you have at least 200 of each material, along with as many coins as you can spare, before you start building.
Building the Aqueduct
To build an Aqueduct, first create a Source on one of the Mountain Slots. You should always pick slots closest to your city, as you won’t have to spend more resources creating the connecting Aqueducts. Once the Source is complete, start extending it to your city by creating the connecting pieces. Note that this can take some rearranging of your city, as the placement of structures is a bit tricky.
After you are happy with the connecting pieces, start building the Aqueduct Cistern to ensure the structure’s positive effects take place. Each Cistern covers a vast area, so try to spread them out for maximum effectiveness. Finally, when you make connecting pieces, make sure to go downward, as the water won’t flow if you make them go uphill.
