Learn how to cut grass in House Flipper 2 by unlocking the lawnmower tool introduced with The Garden Update.
House Flipper 2 builds on the success of its predecessor by offering a deeper, more refined renovation experience. However, for a time, the game didn’t have a feature that allowed players to cut the grass on their renovated properties’ lawns, leaving an unfinished look in an otherwise perfect job.
With The Garden Update’s release, new outdoor features have been added, which include the much-awaited lawnmower tool. Players are now able to engage in yard work that comes closer to real-life landscaping. Let’s take a look at how mowing the lawn works in House Flipper 2 and explore a faster way to accomplish it.
How To Mow the Lawn in House Flipper 2
Lawnmower
To mow the lawn in House Flipper 2, you will need to obtain a lawnmower and use it on the overgrown patches of grass. Get the lawnmower by completing the Lawn Mowing job or by purchasing it in the store. For the sandbox mode, the lawnmower is available in the Outside tab of the tool menu.
You will need to use a lawnmower to complete the ‘Setting My New Garden Straight’ job from Robin Roots. Remove the old furniture at the property and mow the lawn to complete the primary objectives of the job.
Once you have selected the lawnmower, place it on the grass and press the use key (E) to commandeer it. Then, hold RMB (right mouse button) and simply walk over the grass to cut it short. You can maneuver the tool by using the movement controls as well as by looking around with the mouse.
The lawnmower was added to the game with The Garden Update and certainly handles better than its counterpart in the original House Flipper game. You can also set up lawn mowing quests using the Sandbox mode tool for it.
Console Commands
A quicker way to cut overgrown grass in House Flipper 2 is essentially by cheating and using console commands. Press the “F11” key to bring up the command console. Use the following commands for the desired effect:
- Type “set-foliage-wild” to get an overgrown lawn.
- Enter “set-foliage-cut” to reduce the lawn’s grass to its minimum level as if freshly mowed.
- Type “set-foliage-tidy” to get the most aesthetic level of grass on your lawn.
