Libra, Creature of Night, is one of eight Nightlords you will face at the end of your expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign. Given his status as a Nightlord, he will not be an easy foe to overcome, especially for the unprepared. At first glance, you might think that Libra is on the easier side of Nightlords. However, you will quickly find out that this was a misconception. You need to remain aggressive to beat this boss. However, there must be a balance between attack and retreat.

Libra can easily wipe out your entire health in one attack if you’re caught unaware. Fortunately, you can avoid these attacks with some precision if you pay attention to Libra’s hands. Libra can deal damage at any range. Faraway characters might get hit by homing shots of magic, meanwhile, melee characters will face their staff being used as a big and heavy beating stick.

Save your Ultimate attacks. When Libra starts casting its big attacks, try to use these to interrupt the attacks altogether.
Libra often sits still while it casts its powerful attacks. This serves multiple purposes. Firstly, it informs you that you should brace for a major attack. Secondly, it allows you to attack Libra from far away without any chance of missing.
The ideal combination to beat Libra would be to have one or two Ironeye on the team, combined with a close-range tank like Guardian and Raider will work well. The ranged units will keep up consistent damage, while the tanks or other melee units keep Libra distracted.
Collect madness-reducing items. These items drop from the boss as you hit it. You can use these to reduce your madness-inflicted buildup. However, you should try not to get caught in other attacks while using these.
Have patience. Although this is general advice applicable to lots of bosses, this applies even more so to this one. You should be ready to get short bursts of damage from Libra.
