How To Defeat the Void Worm Boss in Dig

The Void Worm is a new boss added in Dig’s Moon update and it’s one of the most unique challenges in the game. Unlike other bosses that rely on digging or gear stats, this one drops you into a completely different fight style. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to find the Void Worm, how to summon it, what to expect during the fight, and what rewards you’ll earn.

Where To Find the Void Worm in Dig

To fight the Void Worm, you first need access to the Moon Island, unlocked through the Copper Mesa Observatory questline. Once you’re on the Moon, head to the Lunar Dunes, a quiet, blue-hued desert biome on the southeast side of the island.

At the far southeast edge of Lunar Dunes, you’ll find a glowing void pit. This is where the boss is summoned.

How To Summon the Void Worm

To enter the Void Worm fight, you’ll need the Heart of the Void, a special item that can be crafted at any anvil. It requires rare materials found across Moon biomes, including drops from Celestial Highlands and Twisted Forest.

Once you have the Heart of the Void:

Go to the Lunar Dunes’ southeast corner.
Hold the Heart of the Void in your hand.
Walk into the void and press E to enter.

Void Worm Boss Mechanics

Inside, the fight becomes a top-down bullet hell minigame. Your character turns into a tiny red heart, and the Void Worm will start attacking in multiple phases. Here’s a breakdown of the key mechanics:

Defeating the Void Worm can earn you:

$400,000 in cash
12,500 XP
Chance to drop one of the following:
- Voidcrest Shovel
- Void Wings
- Void Scythe
- Void Stickers

The Voidcrest Shovel is especially valuable, with powerful stats and a distinct purple flame design.
