Ziva the Engineer is a mad mechanical expert who gives you the Radium Alloy recipe in V Rising. Here’s how you can defeat her.
In V Rising, Gloomrot is the northernmost region in Vardoran. The whole theme of the area is “science gone mad,” which is nicely portrayed by the enemies inhabiting the region. Most enemies are an amalgamation of machine and flesh, as the will to evolve has stripped their humanity. Moreover, Ziva the Engineer is one of the first bosses you will fight when you reach Gloomrot.
Defeating Ziva can be quite difficult for many players due to how many types of attacks she does. Here’s a guide on how you can defeat Ziva the Engineer in V Rising.

Defeating Ziva the Engineer in V Rising
You can find Ziva the Engineer at the Trancendum Machine Factory. This large factory lies on the northern side of Gloomrot South. Moreover, Ziva will be waiting for you at the end of the factory, in a large open area with four mechanical pillars.
In combat, Ziva the Engineer uses many different types of guns she has personally crafted. She uses three different guns that each do something different. Additionally, she can randomly switch between any of these three weapons, so you have to always be prepared. Moreover, each weapon only has two types of attacks. Here are all of them:
All of Ziva’s Weapons
Flamethrower
- Ziva uses the flamethrower and spins in a circle while covering the ground with fire around her. Moreover, you take damage if you step on the fire. You should stay away from her when she does this.
- Her second attack consists of a slow walk towards you as she uses the flamethrower to burn you. It is quite easy to dodge this attack, as her movement speed is atrocious.
Thunder Blaster
- Her second gun uses electricity. This gun’s main attack is where she shoots out large balls of lightning that slowly follow you. There is no way to counter this move, and all you can do is run away from it. The lightning balls deal massive amounts of damage when they touch you.
- Her second attack shoots out a bolt of lightning that splits into multiple bolts when it hits the arena walls. Additionally, this is quite a difficult attack to dodge. We recommend countering the initial bolt so as not to let it split off.
Machine Gun
- Her final weapon is a basic machine gun with a very high fire rate. Her primary attack is a shotgun blast, in which she shoots out wide arcs of bullets. You must hide behind one of the four metal pillars at the corners of the arena to avoid taking damage.
- Her final gun attack is her shooting the machine gun at you for a few seconds. Like before, you can hide behind a pillar to avoid taking damage.
We recommend using a ranged weapon such as the pistols or the crossbow to deal damage to her. Nearly all of Ziva’s attacks are lethal at close range, so keeping distance is the key to winning this fight. You can also use Undead magic to summon skeletons that are great at distracting Ziva for a while.
Once you drop Ziva’s health down to 60%, she can perform her ultimate move. In this move, she flies up in the air and enters a bomber mode where she drops bombs on you while hovering in the air. Moreover, she also drops two gun turrets that can autonomously attack you. You must deal with the turrets as soon as they land in the area. Maintain your distance and keep hitting her with ranged attacks to easily win this fight.
