The newest update of Grounded 2, Version 0.1.2, added a bunch of new mechanics for you to try out. However, one of the main features you should be aware about is the addition of Fast Travel.

Fast Travel will be an extremely useful mechanic, which will not only speed up your travel, but also make it much safer as you will be able to avoid all the obstacles on the way. Here is how you can Fast Travel.

You cannot Fast Travel from anywhere on the map. You will have to head to certain designated locations to be able to move to different locations. This is only possible through Ranger Outposts.

If you head inside these outposts, you will be able to scan your SCA.B. 2K. This will open up the room to the Pneumatic Transit System. Before interacting with the machine, ensure that you take any extra loot located nearby.

Once that is done, you can interact with the Transit System to be taken to another Outpost. However, this system is not perfect.

Fast Travel Restrictions in Grounded 2

You can travel to Outposts you have not yet visited, however, once you arrive at these locations, you will remain locked inside the rooms. This is because you need to unlock the door from the outside. Therefore, teleporting to a new location you have never been to is practically useless, as you are unable to walk out of the Pneumatic Transit System room.

So, you will need to first visit these Outposts manually, to practically unlock them for Fast Travel. Moreover, for now, this is not yet available for all Ranger Outposts. For now, this feature is only connecting the Ceremony Ranger Outpost to the Trash Bags Outpost. However, with this, we can likely expect more Outposts to be added in the future, which will enable Fast Travel to more locations in the future.

That was everything to know about unlocking and using Fast Travel in Grounded 2.
