Find the Missing Kids in 99 Nights in the Forest
Your mission is to track down and rescue four children scattered across the map. You’ll begin at a campfire, where a Missing Kids Board lets you activate quests to locate them. However, you must upgrade your campfire to unlock these quests one by one. Each successful rescue increases your days-passed multiplier, helping you survive the 99 nights more efficiently.
Step 1: Use the Missing Kids Board
Once your camp is set up, check the Missing Kids Board near the fire. As you level up your campfire, missing posters for each child will appear. Click on a poster to activate a red directional arrow pointing to the child’s location. If you craft a compass, the arrow will show there too, making navigation easier.

Step 2: Rescue the Missing Kids
There are four children to find, each locked behind a colored gate that requires a matching key. Keys are earned by defeating mobs guarding each cave.

Where To Find Dino Kid?
- Campfire Level Required: 3
- How to Find: Look for a small hill with a metal gate.
- Enemies: Wolves with red collars (5).
- Strategy: Use a spear, revolver, or trade with the Pelt Trader to gear up.
- Reward: Red Key + Bonus chest inside the cave.
- Rescue: Unlock the red gate, carry Dino Kid home, and place him near the fire.
Where To Find Kraken Kid?
- Campfire Level Required: 4
- How to Find: The arrow leads to a playground.
- Enemies: 4 Alpha Wolves with blue collars.
- Strategy: Bring healing items. Aim for headshots and keep moving.
- Reward: Blue Key.
- Rescue: Use the key to unlock the blue gate and save the Kraken Kid.
Where To Find Squid Kid?
- Campfire Level Required: 5
- How to Find: Look for huts in an open area.
- Enemies: 2 Regular Bears.
- Strategy: Use powerful weapons like Tactical Shotgun, Morning Star, or Ray Gun.
- Reward: Yellow Key.
- Rescue: Open the yellow gate and bring Squid Kid back.
Where To Find Koala Kid?
- Campfire Level Required: 5
- How to Find: Final cave deep in the woods.
- Enemies: 6 Alpha Bears (toughest fight).
- Strategy: Engage enemies one at a time. Use terrain and strong weapons.
- Reward: Black Key.
- Rescue: Open the black gate, save Koala Kid, and return to camp.
