How to Beat Whiteclad Noble Boss in Black Myth Wukong

How to Beat Whiteclad Noble Boss in Black Myth Wukong

A lot of the attacks he uses in Phase 1 are more dangerous and they have more range due to the water impact. This does make them a little bit harder to dodge but the basic patterns are the same. Once you have timing down well for phase 1, phase 2 isn’t going to be that much more difficult. Just have some patience and don’t worry about the fact that the boss is going to retreat. You’ll have the opportunity to strike soon enough.

In order to change your stance, you need to click on your directional pad in the bottom right corner. Once you’re in pillar stance, you hold a triangle then you can dodge all ground attacks. As soon as the fight starts, your only duty is to use your Immobilize on him and take down his health as much as you can.

You can easily dodge all of his attacks during the first phase. You can also save your transformation ability for the second phase of the fight as that one will take a bit more time to regenerate. However, you’ll take much more damage at the start of the fight due to your wrong stance. Just switch to the right stance to make the fight easier.

Dodge his attacks and once he goes through about two or three attacks then you know that he’s going to not be able to do much more. Avail this chance and start doing your attacks. Between that fact, Immobilize ability, dodging, and the fact that you can go above the enemy, it makes the fight one-sided pretty easily. Defeating the Whiteclad Noble will take a couple of tries but don’t get discouraged, you can do it and with a little practice, you’ll beat this boss.

Tips and tricks to defeat the Whiteclad Noble Boss

This boss fight is broken into two distinct phases. Each of the phases has its unique attacks, combos, and behavior. Once Whiteclad health reaches 50%, phase 2 will begin, and that’s very lethal, and you need to use every possible to defeat Whitelad Noble.

Phase 1 Whiteclad Noble Boss

Once you get into the boss arena, just start the fight as you normally would. Start off the fight by using your spirit then immobilize him and transform. Just use slot attacks to fill up your gauge then once it’s full, dodge forward and press a heavy attack button to do a slam attack. After that, do a dash attack until you turn back then roll away and keep your distance. You’re waiting for two kinds of charge attacks that are easy to counter.

He does a series of wave attacks and when he stops, gets ready to dodge. You can throw in two or three light attacks then just roll away. Your strategy to tackle Whiteclad should be to dodge and then attack. Just dodge away from all of his other attacks but there’s another deadly attack that you need to watch out for but that’s easy to counter as well.

In this attack, when he throws his spear into the ground and spins on it, just keep running or rolling away and get ready to dodge the charge attack and then start punishing him. Keep your distance, keep sprinting or dodging to the sides, and wait for him to do one of the deadly attacks and save your Immobilize spell for phase 2.

Phase 2 Whiteclad Noble Boss

During Phase 2, there’s only one charge attack that you can counter. If Immobilize is available, use it but two light attacks only, so the next one will last longer. Don’t do a combo finisher; you only need to roll away after it wears off. Same thing as phase 1, just keep your distance and wait for him to charge at you then attack him two or three times.

Remember that he’ll start regenerating his health slowly once it gets below 50%. You can see that on his health bar. Just keep doing the same thing and once both Immobilize ability and Transform are ready then you can burst him down quickly. If the transform is ready but Immobilize isn’t then it’s best to wait for the Immobilize to get ready. Throw a couple of attacks, transform, and then just spam dash attacks because he moves around too much in phase 2.

The best part about using the pillar stance is the fact that you can dodge any ground attacks just by using your stamina. So, if you hold down the triangle button or the heavy attack button, then you will climb up above the enemy and it will dodge all the ground attacks.

Whiteclad Noble Boss attacks and counter strategies

Below are the best strategies for defeating Whiteclad Noble in Black Myth Wukong.

  • Jump Attack: This is the attack that he opens with. He’ll either retreat or from a distance simply leap towards the chosen one to strike with a vicious thrust. To avoid this Simply time your dodge when the boss is in the air. I recommend dodging left or right, that way even if your timing isn’t perfect, you’ve probably covered enough distance to avoid the strike.
  • Basic Attacks: There’s a basic attack sequence where he has a bunch of sweeping strikes with his spear. There are little water trails that do make them a little bit easier to follow but there’s quite a lot of them. So, there’s a good opportunity you’ll get hit. Luckily, they don’t hit too hard individually. Just be careful to not take multiple consecutive strikes. Dodge either left or right as this way you’re best positioned to punish the boss as he executes the final strike in the sequence. Don’t try to dodge backward because when you dodge backward it’s much harder to avoid the final strike of the sequence, especially when it’s thrust.
  • Vault Attack: Another dangerous move a Whiteclad Noble does all too frequently is his vault attack. He lashes his spear through the water, firing a blade of force at you. As he does, he whirls forward and plants a spear in the lake then spins around a spear to execute a vault attack. Striking at you one last time. You can get hit by the initial strike, where he plants his spear then you can be hit by him as he spins around the spear. And also hit by a return attack. I recommend dealing with it by moving away from the boss. And then dodging the final part of a vault attack.
  • Water Attacks: He uses the water around him to strike you. He’ll lower his spear and strike a pose. Shortly after this, he unleashes a powerful AOE that creates a shock wave in the water dealing damage all around him. This does significant damage but it does give you a generous amount of damage to avoid it. You can either move away when you see a boss lower his spear or if you’re feeling clever then you can perfect dodge and get some damage in as the whole attack sequence is pretty slow.
  • Spear Throw: He throws his spear at you by shouting for words then a fraction of a second, he says and flows recalling the spear back to his hand. It deals damage both ways. Where he says defying fate means he throws his weapon and then death as he recalls it. Luckily, both are avoided the same way by dodging to the side. If you dodge with a spear by moving left or right of initial impact then you will be safe from the recall as well.
  • Flurry Attack: He executes this from a distance to take advantage of a range for water blades Grant him. Much like his basic attacks, this does end in a thrust move. You should dodge left or right and then punish him during the recovery time from the final attack in the sequence. Charge thrusts again, much like with his basic attack that has a good amount of range. So, don’t dodge backward as otherwise. There are pretty good chance it’s going to hit you unless you dodge it perfectly.
  • Powerful Shock Wave: While in phase 2, he’ll rise into the air before slimming his weapon down. It creating a powerful shock wave in the water. The attack is very intimidating. But with correct positioning is easy to punish as it only really deals damage in front of him. Time your dodge, get to the side, or better yet behind the boss. It has a fairly long animation and deals some damage as he slams the water in front of him.
  • High Stance Attack: High Stance attack is very similar to the low-stance attack from phase 1. Except this time, instead of lowering his weapon near the water’s surface, he raises it above his head. This is where it’s time to retreat or time your dodge perfectly to avoid damage from the strike.
