Purgeblood Salts are rare alchemical ingredients in Oblivion Remastered used to cure Vampirism, restore Magicka, and craft potions.

Purgeblood Salts are rare alchemy ingredients in Oblivion Remastered that have a unique property when it comes to dealing with Vampirism. Additionally, their potent alchemical nature is beneficial to mages seeking quick Magicka recovery.
Purgeblood Salts are “mined” from Purgeblood Crystal Formations that are found in a single location in Southern Cyrodiil. Let’s take a closer look at the location of these crystals and uncover the methods to use Purgeblood Salts.
Purgeblood Salts Location in Oblivion Remastered

Obtain Purgeblood Salts by mining Purgeblood Crystal Formations near the Font of Renewal in Deepscorn Hollow. Deepscorn Hollow is located at the southernmost point of Cyrodiil. Fast travel to Leyawiin and venture southeast along the coastline. Directly south of Fort Blueblood and the Serpent Stone, you will come across the ruins of a partially submerged structure.
From the well ahead, move directly south and dive into the water between the ruined wall on the right and the submerged tower on the left. Swim down until you see a tree trunk underwater. Swim into it to find the entrance to Deepscorn Lair. Upon surfacing into the lair, climb up the stairs to the left and enter Deepscorn Cloister. Head into the room on the left and find the Purgeblood Crystal Formation in the eastern corner of the room.
The Purgeblood Crystal Formation will have three rocks you can interact with to find Purgeblood Salts. Once you have taken Purgeblood Salts out of the crystal, they will respawn there again after three days, making them a renewable resource.
How To Use Purgeblood Salts

There are three main reasons to make use of Purgeblood Salts:
- Curing Vampirism
- Restore Magicka
- Potion Making
To consume Purgeblood Salts directly, open the inventory, select Purgeblood Salts in the “Alchemy” tab, and press the use button. This will instantly cure Vampirism if the player is afflicted by it and Restore Magicka by 1 point for 6 seconds.
To create a Restore Magicka potion using Purgeblood Salts, use a Mortar and Pestle to open the Alchemy menu, and combine it with another ingredient with Restore Magicka as its primary property. Here are all the alchemical properties of Purgeblood Salts in order:
- Restore Magicka
- Damage Health

- Dispel
