Make No More Room in Hell 2 slightly less scary by finding other players to complete objectives with. Here’s a guide to help you.
No More Room in Hell 2 throws you into a big open world map where it is a difficult task to find other players. The game lists itself as a “terrifying 8-player co-op”, and having a team does make your tasks easier on a map filled with the undead.
Whether you are having a lonely time playing the co-op game alone and wish to bash some zombies with a random player, or you want to make your game easier, here are some tips for finding other players when attempting the new zombie extraction game.
But first and foremost, check whether the lobby you are joining even has players alive in it. Since the game contains permadeath, you may mistakenly enter an ongoing extraction that is halfway or completely lost. You can press the Esc key on your keyboard to check the player status. We suggest you find another lobby if most of the players are dead. However, be warned you will lose your current character if you exit to the main menu.
There Is More Than One Way
Your Map Serves an Important Purpose
Whenever lost, look at the map. The map you receive in No More Room in Hell 2 is a little advanced. If the humans in the area are working on objectives in a named facility, you can see a blue circle around that location on your map. Access it by pressing M if you are using the default controls.
This also goes true for your own activity. If you are active in most of the named facilities, carrying out tasks, other players in the server can spot you on the map and pay you a visit to help you out.
Enough Visuals, What Audio Clues?
You will usually hear dialogues if a player in the lobby enters a named location. If they are completing objectives, even better! You will hear a separate dialogue alert for that too. You can head to the location the dialogues are referencing. Combined with the blue spots on the map, this will be of great help if you wish to locate fellow teammates. For those of you who still can’t, there is still hope.
Don’t Be Shy!
Be interactive. That’s what the text and the proximity voice chat is for. Whether you text or connect using the voice channel, it all depends on your proximity to other players in the lobby. You can use T by default to type in a text if you don’t wish to talk out loud. If there is no other player near your location, the game will say “No one heard you” to confirm that you are alone there.
These are some ways you can use to ensure that you find other players when playing alone or even with some friends. If the devs add more ways to help you connect with other players near you, we will surely update you.
