Skytrees are a rare type of tree in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, only found in a particular area. Finding these trees and being able to chop them down is a key part of a Woodcutter Life’s progression.
If you are quickly leveling up your Woodcutter Life, you will encounter four expert-level challenges pertaining to Skytrees and Great Skytrees, including ‘Search for Skytrees’ and ‘Wise Old Skytree.’ To complete these challenges, you will need to venture to a specific location in the past.
Fantasy Life I the Girl Who Steals Time: Where To Find Skytrees and Great Skytrees
Skytrees are mid-game trees that you can only encounter by progressing the main storyline. They are found in the Cave of Trails on Swolean Island, in the Past. The Swolean Island and Cave of Trails areas unlock during Chapter 6 of the main questline. When you fly to Swolean Island and complete ‘Talk to Glenn on the Beach,’ the castle guards rush over to inform you that Rem has gone missing.
While everyone is processing the news, Skelegon roars at the entrance to a cave on the beach. Upon approaching the cave’s mouth, you find a drawing made by Rem. After speaking with Glenn, you decide to enter the Cave of Trails to search for her. At this point, the Cave of Trails is unlocked as an area of the map, and you can return to it any time to harvest the rare resources within, including the Skytrees.
To find the Cave of Trails, head right from your landing point on Swolean Island and step onto the beach. On the far end of the beach, you will see a dark cave entrance. Walk through it to enter the Cave of Trails.
Skytrees and Great Skytrees in the Cave of Trails
There are several Skytrees and Great Skytrees within the Cave of Trails that you can harvest in a single run. You can find three in the initial chamber, one to the right, and a Skytree and a Great Skytree across the bridge straight ahead. These trees require a lot of SP to harvest, and you can bring a Woodcutter Life Buddy along to boost your tool power.
Chopping down a Skytree drops a Skytree log. Harvesting a Great Skytree rewards you with Skytree logs and Elder Skytree logs. You can complete four Woodcutter challenges while chopping down Skytrees and Great Skytrees. These include ‘The Skytree’s Story,’ ‘Wise Old Skytree,’ ‘The Woodcutter’s Test,’ and ‘Search for Skytrees.’
