Although being a limited resource, Varla Stones can be found in many locations throughout the game, specifically in Ayleid Ruins. Ayleid ruins, or elven ruins, are ancient dungeons that are scattered all across Cyrodill in Oblivion Remastered. Moreover, you can usually find a couple of Varla Stones in these dungeons.

However, the Varla Stones spawn on pedestals that are usually locked with a mechanism or cage. You can unlock them using a switch or lever nearby. Sometimes, you can even use arrows to knock the Varla Stones off high places, or use athletics to reach those higher locations.

How To Use Varla Stones in Oblivion Remastered

You can use the Varla Stones from your inventory by double-clicking on them. Moreover, the reason why you should collect these stones is that, unlike Soul Gems, which only recharge one of your enchanted weapons, the Varla Stones recharge every single enchanted weapon in your inventory.

We recommend using these during long and arduous missions or major boss fights to fully utilize them. Additionally, you can sell each Varla Stone for 1000 Septim, which is not recommended.
