The Backpack is a very useful item that helps you store and carry items, and here’s how to get and use it in PEAK.
PEAK has many features and equipment that can assist you during your climb to the top of the island. Some items are designed to hinder or mess with your friends, but others can help you greatly during your run. The backpack is one such item that you can easily obtain and can be extremely useful by allowing you to carry more items.

Obtaining a Backpack in PEAK
After you start a run and crash-land on the island of the day in PEAK, you should first explore the plane wreckage. Doing so, you can find various useful objects and consumables that aid you early in your playthrough. You can find the backpack somewhere near the wreckage, usually lying on the ground.
Unfortunately, at the start, you only receive one backpack, regardless of whether you are playing solo or with friends. However, there is a chance to obtain more backpacks as you climb and explore around the island.
Using a Backpack in PEAK
Once you find a backpack, interact with it like any other item to open it. When opened, you will see five different sections – two empty sections on each side and one with a backpack icon at the bottom. You can carry the backpack by hovering over the icon with your mouse or selecting it using your controller.
You can also place items in the backpack by interacting with it while holding an item. Simply select an empty section to store the item inside for later use. Note that you need to put the backpack down on the ground every time you want to access the stored objects. If you place it on a slope, it might roll away and out of your reach.
Finally, while the backpack allows you to carry four additional items, the weight of these items affects your stamina bar. Every extra weight in the backpack decreases your stamina, so only carry essential items you will definitely need later, such as medicine or non-perishable food.
