A Champion’s Path is easily the most difficult trophy to unlock in Elden Ring Nightreign. While the requirements for this particular trophy aren’t that difficult, the way it’s worded makes it seem quite a significant challenge. The official description of A Champion’s Path states – Defeat the Nightlord with all characters.

Based on that description, you would think that you need to defeat the final boss, Heolstor, the Nightlord, with all the characters (Nightfarers) for this trophy. However, surprisingly enough, that’s not the case. It’s one of the best examples of how localization can sometimes make certain trophies more difficult to unlock than they should be.

Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to unlock the A Champion’s Path trophy in Elden Ring Nightreign.

To get the A Champion’s Path trophy, you need to defeat “the Nightlord” using all 8 Nightfarers. However, the description is actually misleading. Instead of having to kill the final boss, i.e., Heolstor, with all Nightfarers, you can get this trophy by killing any Nightlord with all characters. Also, you don’t even need to kill the same Nightlord with all 8 Nightfarers.

You can get this trophy just by killing any of the 8 Nightlords with all available Nightfarers. You can still get the trophy to unlock upon killing Heolstor with all characters, but that’s not a necessity. This simple clarification in the description makes getting the trophy significantly easier.

In fact, if you play your cards right, you can actually unlock this trophy right alongside the game’s ending. To do so, just make sure you assign one Nightfarer to each of the 8 Nightlords. For instance, if you defeated Tricephalos with Wylder, pick Executor for the Gaping Jaw, Raider for Equilibrious Beast, Ironeye for Fissure in the Fog, so on and so forth.

And ultimately, when you reach Night Aspect, pick the only Nightfarer that you haven’t killed any Nightlord with. That way, you will not only get the trophy but also Memory Fragments for all the Nightfarers.

Here are some tips that should help you easily unlock the A Champion’s Path trophy:

  • Make sure to have killed at least the final boss once to unlock all the Goblets for all Nightfarers. Additionally, make sure to complete Guardian’s, Ironeye’s, and Raider’s Remembrances. Doing so rewards you with incredibly powerful Relics that are useful for all Nightfarers. Furthermore, make sure to buy the character-specific Relics from the Small Jar Bazaar as well.
  • If you want an easier plan to get the trophy, we recommend focusing on three Nightlords: Tricephalos, Sentient Pest, and Fissure in the Fog. These are by far the easiest bosses in the game, and can be defeated with any of the Nightfarers. For an even easier route, we recommend just focusing on the Tricephalos.
  • While co-op is a great way to get most of the trophies in the game, you can also try to get A Champion’s Path via the single-player mode. In fact, if you’re skilled with your pathing, it’s best to just tackle the first Expedition solo, with all Nightfarers. That’s a more efficient way to unlock the A Champion’s Path trophy in Elden Ring Nightreign.
