If you want to know how you can get Ancestral and Legendary Weapons in V Rising, then this article is for you.

V Rising is an RPG, so naturally, it has many different kinds of items. One of the most coveted among them is Ancestral and Legendary Weapons. These highly valued weapons help players upgrade and refine their builds, making it easier to take down foes. Of course, Ancestral and Legendary items are rare, and you won’t find them easily in the game. However, there are several steps and methods to obtain these weapons in V Rising, and this article will cover them.
How To Acquire Ancestral Weapons in V Rising

Players won’t find Ancestral Weapons from drops or anything similar. Instead, in V Rising, Ancestral Weapons can only be acquired by crafting them through the Ancestral Forge. To unlock this workstation, players must defeat Octavian the Militia Captain. You can find this level 61 boss in the Dunley Bastion. Due to his high level, it’s recommended that you bring your best weapons and gear for the fight.
After defeating the boss, players will need to craft Radium Alloys—but there’s a catch. The Radium Alloy recipe only unlocks after defeating Ziva the Engineer, located in Eastern Gloomrot. So, you’ll need to do some more legwork before you can begin crafting the item. Once this boss is defeated, you’ll need Sludge-Filled Canisters, Sulphur, and Tech Scraps to craft Radium Alloy.
Players Will Need Shattered Weapons for the Ancestral Forge
The job isn’t done yet. After building the Ancestral Forge, players must find some Shattered Weapons. This item is unusable at first, and you can easily identify it by its blue color. If you’re unsure where to look, we recommend searching in Farbane Woods and Dunley Farmlands.
Once restored through the Ancestral Forge, Shattered Weapons will have the stats shown on their item cards and become Ancestral Weapons. Typically, Ancestral Weapons boast high base stats and perks related to the schools of magic in V Rising. They also hold two skills specific to their weapon type.
How To Acquire Legendary Weapons in V Rising

Similar to Ancestral Weapons, players can acquire Legendary Weapons in V Rising through crafting. Specifically, you must first obtain the shattered version of the weapon, usually from major Rift Incursions or late-stage bosses in the Ruins of Mortium. Once you’ve done that, bring them back to your base and begin forging.
These weapons also require their own weapon shards. Typically, it will be a Sanguine or Onyx Weapon from earlier tiers, which are often dropped by level 74 or higher bosses. However, if you want to craft the shards as well, you’ll need to defeat Nightmarshal Styx. Legendary Weapons have high stats and modifiers that enhance their abilities.
