During your journey to the top of the mountains in PEAK, you will face multiple challenges and difficulties. One of these will be due to the cold environment you will be in. To avoid frostbite or to recover from it, the game features multiple items that you can use. This includes heatpacks.

However, they are not in your backpack from the very beginning, and players will need to go out of their way to find them. In this article, we will explore how to use heatpacks in PEAK.

What Purpose Do Heatpacks Serve in PEAK?

As the name suggests, a heatpack is a cold-resistance item available in PEAK. This item will especially prove its worth when playing in The Alpine Biome. During treks, you and your teammates might suffer from frostbite, which in turn can deplete your health as well as your stamina. Whenever you feel that it might start snowing, or even during nighttime, it will be wise to carry a heatpack for emergencies.

Unfortunately, there is no fixed location where heatpacks spawn. This is why you will need to explore the map a little to get your hands on it. Heatpacks can be mostly found inside supply crates, backpacks, and even medical boxes. They spawn the most around mountain bases and frozen outposts in PEAK. You can even craft them yourself using cloth, alcohol, and plastic wrap.

Moreover, if you have the money, you can also purchase them from vendors and traders. To use heatpacks, you simply need to open your inventory, select Heatpack, and then click on Use. Your health depletion will slow down or completely stop depending upon the weather conditions. This is why it is essential to carry multiple heatpacks in your inventory before starting your trek. Do note that heatpacks can only help you defend against cold and do not actually provide any healing capabilities.
