The Corrupted Pet Mutation Shard is a new item introduced during Phase 2 of the Zen Event in Grow a Garden. This special shard gives any pet the ability to apply the Corrupt mutation to your crops, helping you get that valuable red aura and a huge sell boost. If you’ve used the Tranquil shard before, this works almost the same, just stronger.

What Is the Corrupted Pet Mutation Shard in Grow a Garden
It’s a red hexagon-shaped item that lets you give a pet the Corrupted mutation. Once applied, your pet will automatically corrupt nearby crops over time. These corrupted crops glow with a red thunder aura and sell for 25x their base value.
It’s one of the most efficient ways to farm Corrupt mutations consistently, no more waiting for rare pets or special events.
How To Get the Shard
You can get the Corrupted Shard in two ways, both through the Zen Shop, but to unlock it first, you need to grow the Zen Channeller’s tree 7 times. After doing this, you can get it from these sources:
- Earn Chi Points: Trade in Tranquil mutation crops during a Zen Aura event to earn Chi. The raccoon NPC named Tanuki, located in the center of the map, will handle this for you.
- Buy the Shard: Open the Zen Shop menu and purchase the Corrupted Pet Mutation Shard. It costs 205 Chi Points or 279 Robux if you prefer the premium option.

How To Use the Shard
Once you have the shard, here’s how to apply it:
- Step 1: Equip the shard from your inventory.
- Step 2: Click on the pet you want to mutate. The pet will now carry the Corrupted mutation.
After that, your pet will apply Corrupt mutations to nearby crops about every 25 minutes. You’ll know it’s working when you start seeing crops with the red aura and boosted sell value.
Is It Worth It?
Absolutely. The Corrupted mutation gives a 25x sell bonus, which is even higher than the 20x from Tranquil. If you’re looking to boost your profits and fill your garden with high-value crops, this shard is a must-have.
You can apply it to any pet, and once done, you’ll have a reliable source of Corrupt crops without depending on RNG or event timers. Whether you use Chi or Robux, the shard pays off quickly.
