Devil Trigger in Type Soul
Devil Trigger is a Universal Weapon in Type Soul meant for Arrancars and Hollows. It replaces your sub-mode and gives a significant boost to your combat abilities. Fullbringers cannot use it since their weapons are tied to elemental powers. To unlock Devil Trigger, you must defeat Vergil in a one-on-one fight after progressing through the Rings of Hell.
Ring One and Two of Hell

Start by clearing Ring One and Ring Two. These are required to unlock access to Ring Three, where the Devil Trigger quest begins. Once inside Ring Three, locate the NPC named Yin. Press the comma key to bring up NPC markers, which will help you find him quickly.
Tornado in Ring Three
Inside Ring Three, you will come across a massive tornado acting as a barrier. Move straight through the tornado to reach the farming zone connected to your server. Defeat enemies here to gather resources and prepare for the upcoming boss fight. Farming in this area is important, as it allows you to build the strength needed to face Vergil.
Meet the Vergil Boss
After farming, head north from Yin’s location to find the NPC called Lawn…Chair?. Interacting with this NPC will teleport you directly to the Vergil boss arena. Vergil uses high-damage attacks based on the Yamato weapon, so pay attention to his move patterns and keep moving to avoid getting locked in his combos.
When Vergil’s health drops to around half, he will activate his own Devil Trigger phase. This is the hardest part of the fight because his speed and damage increase dramatically. Time your dodges carefully, avoid staying in one spot, and focus on managing your stamina. Once you defeat him in this phase, you will unlock Devil Trigger in your Skills Tab.
After the fight ends, check your Skills Tab to activate Devil Trigger. Make sure you have completed all previous steps properly, as skipping any part of the Rings of Hell will prevent you from reaching the boss. Taking the time to prepare and learn Vergil’s patterns is key to surviving this encounter and earning one of the most powerful abilities in Type Soul.
