The Flare Melon is a new, rare, multi-harvest crop introduced in the Beanstalk Expansion update, and just like the Glowpod, it is obtained through Goliath’s Goods rather than Skyroot chests, though it requires a higher friendship level to unlock.
It has a tall green stem splitting into two flower-like heads that produce the fruit, making it stand out compared to other crops. More importantly, the Flare Melon is one of the two essential ingredients (alongside Glowpod) needed to craft the legendary Willowberry seed, giving it high value for progression.

The Flare Melon grows on a single stem that branches in two directions, each ending with flower-like heads that bear the glowing fruit.
How To Get the Flare Melon
The Flare Melon can only be obtained from Goliath’s Goods, the NPC Giant’s shop found at the top of the Beanstalk.
To unlock the shop:
- Contribute to growing the Beanstalk seven times to open the portal.
- Alternatively, climb the Beanstalk manually and buy it from the shop at the top.
Once you reach the top, you’ll need Friendship Level 4 with Goliath to unlock the Flare Melon in his shop. It costs 550,000 Sheckles.
To raise Goliath’s friendship level, give him cooked food. (Check our Cooking Recipe Guide for tips on preparing meals.)
Restocking info:
- The shop restocks every 60 minutes.
- You can also refresh instantly using the yellow RESTOCK button on the top right of the Shop menu.
- Manual restocks start at 500,000 Sheckles and triple in price each time.
- The price resets daily at 12:00 AM UTC.
