The Mecha Break open beta is out, and this third-person PvP shooter has been making waves across the gaming world. Players love the mech-focused combat that lets players duke it out while sitting in powerful robots. What players love not so much is the incessant amount of grinding required to get the various currencies in the game.

Mecha Break is a free-to-play game and, therefore, has incorporated various currencies across its design. Merit Points are one of these currencies that you have to keep track of while playing the game. This currency is used to purchase cosmetics, mechs, and so much more. So this is one currency you want to stock up on as often as you can.

However, obtaining this currency is fairly difficult. The currency drops in very small amounts, forcing players to grind. If you’re not sure how to get Merit Points in Mecha Break, we’re here to help. In this guide, we shall go over how to get Merit Points in Mecha Break.

To put it bluntly, there is no easy way to get the Merit Points currency in Mecha Break. Your main way of getting this currency is by playing through the Mashmak game mode. This game mode is a PvPvE extraction mode. While playing through this mode, you will earn Mission Points. Upon completion, these Mission Points are then converted into Merit Points. The conversion ratio is 10:1, meaning for every 10 Mission Points you earn, you get 1 Merit Point.

Alternatively, you can sell off the loot you pick up during this game mode for small amounts of Merit Points. You can do so in the “Logistics” menu in the game. Cycle through your inventory in the Matrix Selections portion of this menu. Select all the items you wish to sell for Merit Points and click on the large blue button that reads “Exchange.”

Take note that both these methods grant small amounts of Merit Points. You’ll have to play through the Mashmak game mode several times before you get decent enough pocket change to spend. The game is free-to-play, and this grind is intentional on the developer’s part.
