This guide helps you uncover the locations of the Obsidian Ore, one of the most difficult resources to get in Enshrouded.
Enshrouded, the survival crafting RPG by Keen Games requires players to explore the world of Embervale and collect various resources. Farming various resources and crafting is a key aspect of survival games like Enshrouded.
However, there are some resources that are very hard to obtain when compared to others. This guide provides insight into one of the rarest resources, the Obsidian Ore, and how to get it in Enshrouded.
What is Obsidian Ore in Enshrouded?
Obsidian Ore is a hard, pitch-black glass-like material. It can be mined from shiny black Obsidian deposits around the Embervale. It is arguably one of the rarest resources in Enshrouded. There are only a few locations where you can mine Obsidian Ore. The Obsidian Ore can be used as a component for the Black Cauldron recipe.
Obsidian Ore Locations in Enshrouded
As we already mentioned, you can find Obsidian Ore in Obsidian deposits/nodes. It appears as a collection of shiny black glass-like deposits. However, these deposits are hidden and not readily visible, and hence you need to mine those locations to make the deposits visible.
Once you spot those shiny black Obsidian deposits, keep mining those deposits until you get some Obsidian Ore. However, it takes several swings/attempts to get your hands on an Obsidian Ore. Here are the locations where you can get several Obsidian Ore:
- Starting with Ancient Spire – Nomad Highlands. Head east from the Ancient Spire – Nomad Highlands Fast Travel and make your way to the Sun Temple. You will notice a small hunter cave there. The Obsidian deposit is hidden behind the wall. Mining the wall in front of the two camps, and find a chest and the Obsidian deposit.
- Next, head south from there and reach the Flame Shrine. You will notice a Stone Arch right in front of the Flame Shrine. Underneath the stone arch, you will notice some carts and barrels along with an Obsidian deposit on the left.
- Finally, our last Obsidian farming location is around the Mining Rift. Head east from the Ancient Spire—Nomad Highlands Fast Travel to reach the Mining Rift. You will find a stone arch at the northeast of the Mining Rift. This arch looks similar to the previous one more like a copy-pasted version. The Obsidian deposit is located on the left side underneath the stone arch.

- Quality Gear: – All tools lose durability 50% slower
- Mason: – The Pickaxe deals 30% more damage against stone objects, including resource veins.
- Miner: – When you mine resources, you have a 10% chance to get one additional resource.
