Make use of the newly introduced Occult Gems and boost your power in Diablo 4 by learning how to find and use them.
The new Season of Witchcraft has introduced some interesting Occult Gems to Diablo 4. There are 19 of these magical items right now that became available in Season 7. These jewels do not give characters additional abilities but enhance and empower your Witchcraft. They can also increase your armor and elemental resistance.
The thing is, these Occult Gems are only available for seasonal characters. Unfortunately, you will have to start these characters at Level 1 without having your usual items. The good part is that your Paragon points from Season 7 will transfer to your normal character once the season ends. So, you can have fun and explore these gems without the guilt of wasting your time.
Finding Occult Gems in Diablo 4
Occult Gems work the same way as any other socketable item. However, instead of granting new abilities, they only bless your Witchcraft Powers with bonuses. To make use of any kind of Occult Gems, you first have to craft them using the recipes that you find. To get these recipes, follow the steps below:
- Firstly, you must be on the Torment difficulty level. Once you have this sorted out, you must complete Headhunts because this is where the recipes will actually drop. These “Headhunts” are the seasonal world quests that you can see on your map marked with a leaf.
- Once you have the recipe, speak with Gelena by the Tree of Whispers. But before you visit her, make sure to gather Restless Rot, Fugitive Heads, and Gem Fragments. Defeating Headless Husks on those Headhunts will grant you the Fugitive Heads in question.
- Visit her and craft the Occult Gem using the recipe that you found.
- All you have to do now is socket these gems into any gear or jewelry you wish. You will then have the power of that particular Occult Gem.
