Crops with this mutation can be sold for profit, or you can use them to get honey by dropping them into the Honey Compressor. You can then trade honey for Bee Crates, cosmetics, and Honey Eggs from the Queen Bee NPC.
How To Increase Your Chances
The mutation is random, but there are ways to improve your chances.
1. Plant Multi-Harvest Crops
Start by planting crops that can be harvested more than once. These plants don’t need to be replanted, so they’re great for events like this.
Focus on planting heavy-fruit crops that give better results:
- Star Fruit – Found in Night Seed Packs
- Moon Melon – Buy from the Blood Shop
- Beanstalk – Available in the Seed Shop

These fruits not only grow back, but also tend to bring in more value if they undergo the mutation.
2. Harvest Before the Event
Right before the Bee Swarm starts, collect any fruits that are fully grown. This clears up space in your garden for new crops to grow during the event.
Why does this help? Because crops that grow during the event have a better chance of getting pollinated. Use the timer near the Queen Bee NPC to track when the next event is about to begin.
This method saves in-game currency and helps you make the most of the 10-minute window.
3. Use Bees in Your Garden
You can also add bees to your garden by using honey. Trade your pollinated fruits with the Worker Bee NPC to get honey. Then, use that honey to get Bee Eggs from the Queen Bee.
Place these eggs in your garden to hatch different bees, such as:
- Regular Bee
- Petal Bee
- Honey Bee
These bees will fly around and increase the chance of more crops receving the pollinated mutation.
