Spectral Dust is the residue of ethereal lifeforms. Here’s how you can get a lot of Spectral Dust in V Rising.
In V Rising, you unlock various new tiers of resources as you progress through the game. The Spectral Dust is one such item that you unlock mid-game. It is a valuable reagent you use to craft items such as the Phantom’s Veil, a cloak that gives you resistance to many anti-vampire elements such as garlic, silver, sun, and more.
Additionally, you will need a lot of Spectral Dust to make Dark Silver Ingot, which lets you make mid-late game weapons. To help you get a steady supply, here’s a guide on how you can get Spectral Dust in V Rising.

Crafting Spectral Dust in V Rising
The first method that you can use to get Spectral Dust is by crafting it yourself. However, there are a few steps that you have to complete before starting to craft some. Firstly, you have to go and defeat a boss named Foulrot the Soultaker, who roams around the eastern side of the Cursed Forest.
Foulrot the Soultaker uses many ghastly attacks that can easily confuse many players. He mainly uses his dual swords to teleport and attack in quick succession. Lastly, he periodically summons a group of banshees that you must defeat to make him take damage again. Once you bring his health down to zero, you can absorb his V Blood to unlock the crafting recipe for Spectral Dust.
You need an Advanced Grinder that is a much bigger upgrade from the basic Grinder. Lastly, you are going to need these items to make 4 Spectral Dust:
- 1x Scourgestone
- 32x Ghost Crystal (24 if you have the Matching Floor bonus)
Farming Spectral Dust in V Rising
Here are some additional Spectral Dust farming methods in V Rising:
- You can spawn Banshees in the Tomb structure after you defeat Foulrot the Soultaker. There’s a chance that you can get Spectral Dust upon killing these player-spawned Banshees. Moreover, you can get said item from naturally spawned Banshees as well. However, we do not recommend doing so due to how time-consuming it is.
- The final method of obtaining Spectral Dust is by sending servants to locations that have Spectral Dust as possible loot. You can check out the Cursed Forest to find such locations.
