Aurora Mask can be useful in protecting you against the dangers of The Zone. Follow this small guide to get it as soon as you can.
You can obtain the Aurora Mask pretty early on in Stalker 2. It may be one of your first masks in the game that you get while exploring. There are a few ways you can get it, but only one of them, which we will explore today, is the more effective one.
If you wish to try out the other method, you can visit the room near the tunnel entrance during the Lost Boys quest. You will need to reconnect the Fuse to unlock this room, though. Those who don’t wish to do something extra during a mission can follow this guide further.
Another way to get the Aurora Mask is by visiting a settlement slightly northeast of Zalissya. Take the main road that heads north of Zalissya. Now, turn right at the first main intersection.
You will eventually come across an abandoned warehouse called Radiation Hazard Signs Storage. This is where you find bandits for inquiry if you take Zotov’s help during the Behind Seven Seals quest. However, instead of visiting the same building where the bandits hang out, take the one located on the right as soon as you enter.
There’s no need to be sneaking around. This is a safe place for Skif to be. Just make your way to the back of the short building. Use the ladder here to climb on the roof. You will find the mask on top of a lootable bag near the northeast edge of the roof from where you are standing.
Is the Aurora Mask Worth the Trouble
The gas mask in question offers you protection against Thermal, Electric, Chemical, Radiation, and Physical effects. Although it doesn’t offer a lot of protection, it is still better than nothing because, without it, you may receive greater damage from each of these effects. The only effect that it is not useful against is Psi.
You can get it pretty early on in the game when you may not have a well-functioning mask like this one. So, consider yourself lucky if you find it out here because you can now be a little at ease in The Zone. On top of everything else, it also has a cool-looking white color to it. They don’t make stylish masks for people in The Zone, so that’s two birds with one stone. It also only weighs 2 kg, which is pretty useful for your starting inventory.
If you have come far in the game and need motivation to grab the Aurora Gas Mask, know that you can sell it for 12,300 Coupons. So, even those who have better gear can acquire it and sell it to a merchant without any trouble or harm.
