Grow a Garden Capybara is a Legendary-tier pet that you can attain before the Pet Mutations Update. Let’s find out how to get it.

Grow a Garden is set to launch a brand new event called the Pet Mutations event on July 12, 2025. The event will require you to deposit Level 100 pets. If you don’t have any, the Capybara will be of great help. This article will explain what its passive is and how you can get it in Roblox Grow a Garden.
Grow a Garden Capybara Guide
Let’s check out how you can get the Capybara in Grow a Garden:
Step 1: Acquire a Paradise Egg. The Paradise Egg has a 7% chance of appearing in the Pet Egg Shop, making it relatively rare. One Paradise Egg costs 50,000,000 Sheckles or 139 Robux.
Step 2: Hatch the Paradise Egg. To hatch your egg, first place the egg in your garden. You have to wait 6 hours and 40 minutes for it to hatch. Once the timer finishes, approach the egg and hold the E key to hatch it.
Note: The Capybara has a 21% chance of hatching from a Paradise Egg, which is relatively generous for a Legendary pet but may require multiple eggs to guarantee. Other pets in the Paradise Egg include the Mimic Octopus (1%), Scarlet Macaw, Peacock, and Ostrich, so luck plays a role.
What Does the Capybara Do?
The Capybara is a Legendary pet from the Paradise Egg with a unique passive ability called “Chill Zone.” This ability creates a ~15.5-stud radius around the Capybara that provides the following benefits to other pets within it:
XP Boost: Grants approximately 3.43–3.63 XP per second (slight variation across sources) to other pets, allowing them to level up faster.
Prevents Hunger Loss: Nearby pets do not lose hunger, eliminating the need to feed them while they’re in the radius.
Why is it Useful Ahead of the Pet Mutations Update?
As mentioned, it is going to be a key component ahead of the Pet Mutations Update. The Capybara’s unique passive ability will allow your other pets to level up fast and reach level 100. When the Pet Mutations Update rolls out, you will need to submit pets that are maxed out.
