Follow these steps to complete Solomon’s quest and unlock the Flame Glave:
Step 1: Head to the Blackrock Ridge (Volcano)
Start by making your way to Blackrock Ridge, the volcanic region of the game. If you don’t want to glide there, you can do the Lurker Hand quest at Tundra Gate to help skip some of the travel. However, freshies can still reach the volcano with good gliding and caution.
Bring:
- A decent weapon (e.g., Leviathan Eye)
- Some armor and a way to parry or shield attacks
- Mana crystals or mobility gear (optional but helpful)

Step 2: Reach the Candle Tree
Inside Blackrock Ridge, parkour through the lava zone (don’t fall!) until you reach the Candle Tree. Climb up and look for a doorway to the right. There, you’ll meet Solomon, the NPC who starts the quest for the Flame Glaive.

Step 3: Talk To Solomon and Begin the Quest
Solomon will mark a location on your map that says, “Retrieve the Demon.” Head there and be ready for a boss fight.

- Be careful of lava spikes on the way, they can instantly kill you.
- You’ll spawn the demon boss in this area.
- If you’re on a freshy, it’s recommended to cheese the fight by luring the boss to a safer area.
Step 4: Cheese the Boss Fight (Optional for Freshies)
If you’re struggling to fight the demon directly, lure it to the Rune Forge fence area:
- Clear any Hellbats or fire mobs nearby.
- Spawn the demon.
- Stay very close to the demon as you lure it; otherwise, it might get flung into lava and reset.
- Walk it all the way to the fence area and let it get trapped.
- Attack it safely from behind the barrier.
After defeating the demon, you’ll receive the Faint Demon Soul.

Step 5: Return to Solomon and Claim the Glaive
Once you’ve got the soul, make your way back to Solomon’s location at the Candle Tree. Watch out for the falling spike trap near the path, it can kill you instantly.
At Solomon’s location:
- Interact with the spear on the ground.
- A prompt saying “Demon Tamed” will appear.
- Check your inventory and you will see the Flame Glaive.
