Marcel Kit was released in BedWars on March 30, 2025, days after the game’s 4th anniversary update. All players have access to the kit, as it is one of the three free kits in the game along with Ragnar and Isabel. Marcel is in the Defender class, making the kit very beginner-friendly. His special weapon is called the Defense Scanner.

How To Equip the Marcel Kit in BedWars
Follow these steps to get the Marcel Kit in BedWars.
- After logging in to Roblox, launch BedWars.
- In the Lobby, click on the ‘Kits’ button on the left of the ‘Play Button.’ (Beginners should ideally do the tutorial first to get a firm grasp of the game mechanics.)
- Find the kit after the weekly free kits in the shop.
- Press the green ‘Equip’ button on the right.
Marcel Kit Abilties and Special Power
As it is a Defender-class unit, the kit is very beginner-friendly. It comes with a few perks that make placing blocks easy. Players can use the special item in the kit called the Defense Scanner to quickly fortify their beds. Using the Defense Scanner shows the player a bed defense schematic on top of the bed. The item allows the player to instantly fortify the team bed, saving valuable time. While using the scanner, stone costs 2 Iron, and ceramic costs 4 Iron.
What’s more, using the kit gives the player a discount for all blocks except Obsidian. This is very helpful for beginners as it helps with the in-game economy. On top of the Defense Scanner, it also allows players to place tesla coil traps. This dramatically increases your team’s defensive capabilities.
