PEAK: Unlocking the Volcanology Badge
Most of the badges in PEAK are easy to acquire. This remains true for the Volcanology Badge as well. The official description of this badge is- ‘Climb beyond the Caldera.’ What this simply means, though, is that you need to go to the Volcano biome and use a pair of binoculars, and then look straight into the volcano’s lava.
First things first, you need to make your way to the Volcano biome to get this badge. The next thing that you will need is a pair of binoculars. While the objective to get the badge itself is simple, the tricky part is to get the binoculars itself. There is no one fixed location where you need to look for this item. It drops randomly at different spots and in different biomes in the game
The first place to look for the binoculars is the Shore biome. The binoculars drop here frequently. You will most likely find them near the crash site, along with other important items such as the compass. Once you have this in your inventory, you need to make your way to the Volcano biome.
Once here, simply pull out your binoculars from your inventory, face towards the volcano, and look into it. Focus on the lava for a few seconds, and you will soon see a pop-up on your screen indicating that you have unlocked the Volcanology Badge.
