Location of the Battlehorn Castle in Oblivion Remastered

The Battlehorn Castle is at the end of the Black Road on the northwest part of Cyrodiil. Starting from the Imperial City, you have to cross the Great Forest and reach the city of Chorrol. From there, the castle is just a bit to the west of the city. You can refer to the image above in case you are having difficulty locating the Battlehorn Castle. We recommend approaching the castle from the southeast side, which is by following the main road.
Owning the Battlehorn Castle in Oblivion Remastered

Once you get close enough to the Battlehorn Castle, a quest pops up telling you to check out the noise of fighting. As you reach the castle, you can find it getting raided by Marauders. You must go in and help the men defending the castle. The fight is quite simple, as other soldiers are helping you to defeat the four Marauders.
Once you defeat all the enemies, talk to the remaining soldiers. You are then pronounced the new lord of the Battlehorn Castle due to the previous lord falling in battle. From here, you are given another quest to upgrade your newly acquired castle.
Upgrading the Battlehorn Castle in Oblivion Remastered

The quest marker leads you to The Merchants Inn in the Imperial City. There, you can talk to Nilphas Omellian and click on Barter to purchase the upgrades for the Castle. However, the upgrades are very costly. Moreover, it takes over 20,000 Septim to purchase every Battlehorn Castle upgrade. Here’s what you can buy:
- Barracks: You get guards who patrol the castle and defend it. Moreover, they can accompany you outside.
- Bedroom: You get your very own private quarters. Additionally, you get a maid who stocks up on consumables and can accompany you outside.
- Dining Area: It refurbishes the dining area on the East Wing of the castle. This is purely for decorative purposes.
- Dwemer Forge: You get a bonus to your Armorer skill when near the rebuilt forge. We recommend getting it to repair pieces of equipment.
- Kitchen Area: You get your chef who can cook you different food items.
- Library: You get many skill books that you can read to level up.
- Training Area: You get your very own training partner and various objects that you can use to test out attacks.
- Trophy Room: You get a stuffed version of every creature that you kill in Cyrodiil.
- Wine Cellar: You can now create your own wine. Additionally, the cellar comes stocked with many kinds of vintage wines.
We recommend getting the Dwemer Forge as soon as you can. You are going to repair your equipment often, so having upgrade to the Armorer skill always comes in handy.
