Fields of Mistria has an ever-growing story that continues its path through massive updates. Among many story missions, you’ll eventually reach a point when dangerous winds hit the town and blow the Weathervane off Hayden’s barn roof.
Ultimately, completing this quest will allow you to use mounts in the game. They can save a hefty amount of time in your day, and you can further progress by claiming items more efficiently. Here’s how to complete the Weathervane quest and retrieve mounts in Fields of Mistria.
How To Start the ‘Find the Weathervane’ Quest in Fields of Mistria
‘Find the Weathervane’ is one of the main story quests in Fields of Mistria. To unlock it, you must follow a series of objectives as the village and town are updated. Here are the steps:
- Repair the Beach Bridge
- Repair the Main bridge
- Repair the Mill
- Upgrade Hayden’s Barn
- Refill Mistria’s Emergency Food Supply
- Upgrade General Store
The next day after these requirements are fulfilled, Mistria will suddenly face harsh winds, which will blow the Weathervane away from Hayden’s barn. Hayden will kindly ask you to find the Weathervane for him on the north side of Mistria. With this, your quest to find the Weathervane begins.
Where Is the Weathervane?
Head to The Narrows in the north, and near the path leading to the ruins, you can find the broken Weathervane along with a horse statue. Pick up the Weathervane and return it to Hayden to complete the quest.
Now, to unlock the mounts in Fields of Mistria, return to the horse statue and interact with it. The statue will require 100 Essence and will suddenly spawn Mistmare, a mythical horse that you can mount. Unlike other farm animals and pets, Mistmare can spawn and despawn as per your requirement and doesn’t have a specific condition to ride.
